Aaron Szager is the Advisor Group Manager at Golub Group, serving as both a wealth advisor to high net worth clients and manager of our Private Client Group; a team consisting of Senior Financial Advisors, Financial Advisors, and Financial Planning Associates. During his 19 years of experience, Aaron has held positions in financial planning Firms such as supervisory principal, branch manager, senior registered options principal, director of financial planning, and senior wealth advisor. Prior to moving to the west coast 4 years ago, Aaron was a partner of a successful wealth management Firm in the Washington DC metro area.
Aaron graduated from Salisbury University in 2000 with a degree in Economics and Business Management, is a Certified Financial Planner™ with education through American University’s College of Financial Planning, and is an approved tax preparer licensed with the California Tax Education Council.
Aaron specializes in working with hi-tech executives and employees in the Bay Area, focusing on tax minimization strategies, risk management, employee benefits, philanthropy, legacy planning, strategies for concentrated positions, and managing equity compensation plans, including ISO’s, NQSO’s, RSU’s, ESPP, etc. He has helped many employees prepare for financial windfalls during the pre and post-IPO phases of their company’s lifecycle and takes great pride in growing and preserving wealth during these life-changing events.
Aaron has delivered group education and individual financial counseling for diverse populations at Bay Area companies including Google, Facebook, Snap Inc., Apple, 23andMe, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Nvidia, Samsung, and Workday.
Aaron lives in San Mateo with his wife, Lynn, twin daughters, Angela and Emily, and son Matthew.
